Cornerstone is home to seven imprints: Century, Del Rey, Inklore, Hutchinson Heinemann, #Merky Books, Cornerstone Press and Evermore and has an enviable track record of bestsellers, prize winners and culture-shaping books, working with many of the world’s most interesting voices, often throughout their entire career. Our books span genres, categories and marketplaces globally. Our authors include Chris Van Tulleken, Katy Hessel, James Clear, Jake Humphrey, Damian Hughes and Phillipa Perry, amongst others.The role

In this role you will design and execute creative and compelling PR campaigns for both fiction and non-fiction books with a focus on the latter, connecting with audiences and ultimately driving sales. You will also establish strong working relationships with authors and agents to provide the highest level of author care.You will work across the entire Cornerstone list but with particular focus on non-fiction for our Cornerstone Press and Hutchinson Heinemann titles, spanning psychology, popular science, health, politics and history. Cornerstone Press authors include Chris van Tulleken, James Clear and Amy Edmondson, whilst Hutchinson Heinemann features Helen Carr, Katy Hessel and Michael Palin. We love helping clever and enjoyable books make waves: winning big audience reactions and critical acclaim along the way.You will get to work with some of the most creative publishing colleagues in the business, learning from a team of experts in a friendly and inclusive environment that values individuality, champions creativity, and celebrates individual and team successes.Key responsibilities

Independently create, plan and drive strategic media and events campaigns to reach target audiences and connect with consumersPlay a key role in the acquisition of new books, providing PR feedback and contributing to pitchesContribute to the company’s strategic priorities and work closely with the editorial teamCommunicate effectively with internal departments, including sales and marketing, editorial, rights and international colleaguesMaintain and develop excellent relationships with high-profile and influential stakeholders, such as authors, agents, journalists and global publishing partnersActively research the marketplace and readership to maintain excellent awareness of trends and to identify and engage with target audiencesWhat you’ll bring

Passion for non-fiction, in particular smart thinking, psychology and healthProven track record of independently producing standout publicity campaigns in a publishing environmentStrong experience in connecting to audiences online and in working to support an owned-channel digital strategy through your PR activity, putting dynamic and engaging content at the centre of your campaignsEstablished media contacts and be knowledgeable on all forms of mediaYou will be resilient and confident in managing multiple projects, prioritising your time effectively in a busy environmentOutstanding communication skills to be able to pitch ideas, report back to authors and agents and produce materials both internally and externallyDemonstrate analytical ability and financial awareness for your campaignsAbility to think in innovative ways to create buzz behind our books with a finger on the pulse of popular culture and new trendsApplication instructions
