Our client, a London Local Authority, is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Public Protection Officer to join their team.The RoleAs a Public Protection Officer, you will play a key role in protecting residents and improving environmental standards across the borough. You will investigate complaints relating to environmental protection and statutory nuisance matters, with a particular focus on noise nuisance cases.Key responsibilities include:Investigating statutory nuisance and environmental protection complaintsConducting enforcement activities and serving notices where requiredManaging a varied environmental protection caseloadProviding comments and advice on licensing applications, planning applications, and Section 61 consentsAttending court proceedings, hearings, and tribunals to provide evidenceLeading on prosecutions in line with the Council''s Enforcement PolicyUsing noise monitoring equipment and interpreting results where necessaryWorking collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver an effective serviceAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Experience investigating statutory nuisance cases, particularly noise complaintsKnowledge of Environmental ..... full job details .....
