Psychology Teacher

Location: Bolton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, running through to Christmas
Hours: 0.8 FTE - 4 days per week
Subject: Psychology with some Health & Social Care

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Psychology Teacher to join a secondary school and Sixth Form in Bolton on a long-term basis, starting ASAP and running through to Christmas.

This is a 0.8 FTE position, working 4 days per week, making it an ideal opportunity for a Psychology specialist looking for a long-term part-time teaching role. The successful candidate will primarily teach Psychology, with a small amount of Health & Social Care also included within the timetable.

• Teaching Psychology across secondary and Sixth Form.
• Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Supporting students to develop their subject knowledge, analytical skills and exam technique.
• Teaching some Health & Social Care alongside Psychology.
• Planning and adapting lessons to meet the needs of different learners.
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and academic progress.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department.
• Supporting students with their progression and examination preparation.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Psychology.
• Experience teaching Psychology at KS5/Sixth Form is desirable.
• Experience or knowledge of Health & Social Care would be advantageous.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Able to build positive relationships with students.
• Reliable, professional and enthusiastic.
• Available to commit to the role 4 days per week through to Christmas.
