A well-regarded secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a passionate and skilled Psychology Teacher to join their Humanities/Social Sciences department for an immediate or October start. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-Level)
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and national expectations
Promote critical thinking, debate, and a love for psychological enquiry
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
Collaborate with colleagues on departmental and whole-school initiatives
Essential Criteria:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Psychology at secondary level, preferably at GCSE and A-Level
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and exam board specifications
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to high standards and student achievement
Desirable:
Familiarity with current Psychology exam board specifications and assessment frameworks
Willingness to engage in CPD and ongoing professional development
Interest in contributing to extracurricular or enrichment activities
