A supportive SEN School in Newbury is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate to gain valuable experience working with pupils who require additional support with their learning, behaviour and emotional development.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with Teachers and SEN staff to provide personalised support to pupils throughout the school day. You may support pupils on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them access learning while developing their confidence, communication and independence.

The Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
• Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
• Helping pupils develop positive approaches to learning and behaviour
• Using patience and empathy to build strong relationships with pupils
• Supporting emotional regulation and engagement in lessons
• Assisting Teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks
• Helping create a safe, structured and inclusive environment
• ASAP start
• Newbury location with accessible transport links
