You will help them develop emotional regulation skills, re-engage with learning, and build confidence in their relationships and self-worth.Your responsibilities will include:* Providing 1:1 and small group emotional and academic support* Helping students develop positive coping strategies and resilience* Assisting with behaviour management and de-escalation using trauma-informed practices* Supporting students through personalised learning and wellbeing plansThe ideal Mental Health Support Assistant will:* Have experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs, behavioural challenges, or mental health concerns* Demonstrate empathy, patience, and emotional resilience* Be proactive and flexible in responding to students’ individual needs* Be committed to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all students* Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS certificateKey information:* Mental Health Support Assistant* Oxford* ASAP Start* Pay: £85 - £100 per day* Specialist SEMH school* Great experience for Psychology GraduatesThis is a truly rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to help students heal, grow, and rediscover their potential.
