PSV/HGV Technician (Mechanic) The Role As a Technician, you will carry out planned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards. PSV/HGV Technician (Mechanic) Key Responsibilities Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance. Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. Complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime. Carry out MOT preparation and safety inspections. Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately. Identify additional defects and parts required during repairs. Work closely with the workshop team to ensure maintenance schedules are achieved. Support and mentor apprentices where required.
