Are you a skilled Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) Engineering Technician (mechanical or electrical) looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a dedicated and experienced professionals to join our dynamic team at our engineering depots in Selby. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our passenger transport fleet, ensuring we deliver reliable service to thousands of customers every day.
About the Role:
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of our diverse fleet of passenger service vehicles. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance to the highest standards.
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring all vehicles comply with legal and company regulations.
- Using diagnostic equipment and specialist tools to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Accurately documenting all maintenance and repair work.
What We're Looking For:
We require a candidate who has a proven track record of working with passenger service vehicles. You must have:
- Significant, demonstrable experience as an Engineer, electrician or Technician in a PSV environment.
- A relevant qualification in motor vehicle engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- A solid understanding of PSV systems, including air braking, and vehicle electronics.
- A commitment to health and safety protocols.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
