We are seeking those who are experienced working within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) and are available for both short-term / daily supply and long-term opportunities in Birmingham.This is a unique opportunity to work with students who may be disengaged from mainstream education and require tailored support to succeed both academically and personally.The role:Deliver engaging, flexible lessons across a range of subjects (key stages will vary depending on setting)Create a safe, supportive learning environment for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needsUse de-escalation strategies and positive behaviour management to engage students with challenging behaviourWork closely with a skilled team of staff, support workers and external professionals to promote student progress Essential Requirements:Experience working in a PRU, alternative provision or with students with challenging behaviourStrong classroom and behaviour management skillsA flexible, compassionate and restorative approach to teaching and relationship-buildingQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant relevant experience in a similar setting Desirable:Team Teach or equivalent behaviour management trainingKnowledge of trauma-informed practiceExperience working with EHCPs and targeted interventions To be considered for this role or to gain further information please get in touch with Zeena ..... full job details .....
