We are currently looking to recruit an experienced primary teacher to work in a highly regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Hackney.The RoleIn this Primary Teacher role you will be teaching within their primary provision. Classes will be up to 6 pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs. You will have a team of support staff in the class to allow for emotional and behavioural support. You will need to have a good understanding of teaching the KS1/KS2 curriculum and MUST have PRU experience.You will need to be approachable and patient and be able to build a strong rapport with the students. You will be working closely with other staff and professionals to manage challenging emotional and social behaviour on a daily basis. Experience in similar settings is essential, along with a calm and resilient approach.The Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)The PRU works with primary and secondary aged pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings across the borough of Hackney.
