Prototype Build and Test Technician

Prototype Build and Test TechnicianBirminghamSalary DOE6-month contractResponsible for leading the build of a battery test property system, providing battery systems and supporting testing as and when requested. The role includes obtaining parts from stores, building up a test property using electronic Cad provided and will require a hands on / proactive approach to overcoming build issues based on prototype build. The Test properties typical include Battery pack, module, and cell level assembly. The role demands a highly skilled individual (ideally with a prototype background), driving process efficiency, safety, and identifying design for manufacture improvements. You will be comfortable with developing relationships to work within the HV battery build and testing team and battery design team and deliver a consistent process driven solution.Requirements:Experience with building, testing and validating battery packs / subpacks and battery modulesDemonstrate understanding of Battery systems and High voltage safety.
