      <description>Location: Glasgow | Salary: 70000.00-70000.00 Annual | Type: Permanent | About the Role As a Protection andamp; Control Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing protection, control, and SCADA solutions for high-voltage substations and utility-scale Renewable Energy projects.   Qualifications andamp; Professional Experience  Required:  Bachelor''s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience designing and delivering protection and control systems for high-voltage (HV) substations and/or utility-scale Renewable Energy projects. In-depth knowledge of power system protection concepts, including differential, distance, overcurrent, and earth fault protection schemes. Hands-on experience configuring and commissioning protection relays using industry-standard software, including Siemens DIGSI, GE EnerVista, SEL AcSELerator, and Schneider Easergy Studio. Practical understanding of SCADA systems, RTUs, and substation communication protocols, including IEC 61850, DNP3, and IEC standards. Sound knowledge of UK transmission and distribution requirements.
