Proprietary Trader - Macro Rates

AP Capital is a diversified investment firm Globally trading equities, commodities, FX, fixed income (Bonds, Credit and Rates). We adopt market neutral strategies to minimize the impact of market turbulence and maximize investment potential. Furthermore, we aim to provide risk-adjusted returns while improving liquidity.

We are looking for a Macro Rates focused Proprietary Trader for global markets specifically DM (UK / US) and EM (EMEA and or LATAM). This will join the newest division that was launched in 2023.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies, managing risk and generating profits within rates and other products, asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement proprietary trading strategies focused on rates products, including interest rates futures, interest rates swaps, CDS, CDX etcConduct thorough market analysis and research to identify trading opportunities forglobal macrostrategiesExecute trades efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with risk management protocolsMonitor and manage portfolio risk, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize performanceCollaborate with other traders, analysts, and risk management teams to share insights and enhance trading strategiesStay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting the interest rates marketPrepare regular reports on trading performance, market conditions, and strategy adjustments

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plusProven experience as a proprietary trader with a focus oncredit and rates productsStrong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial dataExcellent risk management and decision-making abilities with satisfied track recordsProficiency in trading platforms and financial softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
