PROPOSALS MANAGER / BID MANAGER  - INFRASTRUCTURE

POSITION : Proposals Manager

LOCATION : Sheffield , Nottingham , Newark , Lincoln , Leicester , Mansfield , Doncaster, Rotherham, Grantham.  Hybrid.

THE ROLE : 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Proposals Manager / Bid Manager to lead the development and delivery of high-quality bids across Rail, Highways, Energy and Nuclear.
You’ll manage the full bid lifecycle, working with technical, commercial and operational teams to produce compelling, compliant and competitive submissions that support business growth.
This is a hybrid role with the maximum of 4 days working from home with the office day being every Tuesday

SALARY AND BENEFITS : Up to £70k + pension

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Manage bids from initial opportunity assessment through to final submission.
• Write, edit and review high-quality technical and commercial proposals.
• Analyse tender documentation and ensure submissions meet client requirements.
• Develop bid strategies and win themes with internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate technical experts and manage deadlines across multiple bids.
• Support post-submission activities, including clarifications and feedback.
• Identify opportunities to improve bid quality and processes.

REQUIREMENTS :

• At least three years’ bid or proposals management experience within infrastructure.
• Experience in Rail, Highways, Energy or Nuclear.
• Excellent technical writing, editing and organisational skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids and work with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of tender processes and compliance requirements.
• APMP qualification desirable.
