Proposals Engineer

Proposals Engineer Reading (hybrid working) Up to 60k + car allowance Responsibilities:Represent the culture and values of the business internally and externally.Collaborate with customers to understand automation and control requirements across industries such as Utilities, Food and Beverage, FMCG, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Process, Manufacturing.Attend and complete detailed site surveys to ensure proposal accuracyReview technical scoping information inclusive of various engineering documentation to generate a robust solutionDesign and propose control system architectures using PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking technologies.Prepare detailed technical proposals, cost estimates, and scope-of-work documents.Deliver product and system presentations to clients, including live demos and site visits.Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and aligned with delivery capabilities.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automation technologies, industry standards, and vendor products (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric).Attend trade shows, industry events, and client meetings to promote solutions and gather market intelligence.Help maintain customer CRM with latest opportunities and sales pipeline / forecastingExperience: Have previously worked in the Systems Integration industryHave worked in one or more of the following industries: Utilities, Food and Beverage, FMCG, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Process, ..... full job details .....
