Proposals EngineerEstablished mechanical system builder in Telford seeking a mechanically qualified Proposals Engineer to support their sales team in delivering accurate, competitive quotations for tendering customer projects. This role combines mechanical engineering technical expertise with commercial awareness, working closely with sales and engineering teams. Competitive remuneration available with a forward thinking company who continue to improve commercially.Location: TelfordSalary £40,000Key ResponsibilitiesReview and respond to RFQs from the sales teamDevelop technical solutions with engineering colleaguesPrepare detailed, costed quotations and proposalsLiaise with customers and support bid clarification meetingsSource costs for materials, services, and subcontractorsAssist with contract reviews, project coordination, and after-sales supportRequirementsMinimum 5 years'' experience in proposals or sales engineeringMechanical Engineering HNC or time served apprenticeshipBackground in system building / machine design and buildStrong communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsExperience preparing and delivering technical proposalsProficient in Microsoft Office and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor)You will have current or recent experience as Tendering Engineer, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, Bid Manager, Proposals Manager, Commercial Engineer, Estimating Engineer, Cost Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, Tender Engineer, Applications and ..... full job details .....
