Proposals Engineer

Job Purpose Summary: You will assist the Director with bids and tenders for new clients from a technical and commercial perspective. You will manage the bid team and, with support, use your technical knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on our bespoke products. You will be a key point of contact for clients and provide both pre and after-sales advice. You will liaise regularly with other members of the bid team and colleagues from a range of departments, such as design, site installation and contract management. Job Description Attain an in-depth understanding of the noise and vibration control market, with a view to generating a detailed product and service level requirement along with competitor activity and market share information. Maintain an up to date database of all customers and contacts and tenders on an appropriate CRM software. Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximising client potential in designated regions. Developing long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements. Generate annual sales and profit/margin growth in line with budget expectations, through the generation of new business from new and existing customers. Agree annual sales targets in association with the Board of Directors.
