Job DescriptionWe are seeking an ambitious Senior Tax Manager to join our growing Tax Team as the lead technical specialist on Property Stamp Taxes (namely SDLT, LTT, ATED, and to a lesser degree, LBTT). Candidates with a particular specialization within real estate, such as VAT or Capital Taxes, are also encouraged to apply.

Most Property Tax experts come from a background advising on other major taxes as part of a wider tax team, especially VAT, Real Estate, or Capital Taxes. Our client base includes land and property sector clients, and your work will primarily involve these projects.

You will work with diverse clients, from entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses to expanding corporates, on various interesting and challenging tax advisory projects. An important aspect of this role is coaching and mentoring junior team members to develop their skills into accomplished tax advisors. You will also support business development activities to expand our presence in the Midlands market.

With support from our Tax Partners, you will have opportunities to further develop your skills and progress toward a Tax Director role.

This role offers hybrid working, allowing flexibility to work from the office, home, or client sites while maintaining excellent client service.

Responsibilities

Act as the lead technical specialist on SDLT and other property taxes

Deliver a wide range of tax advisory projects

Develop and coach trainees and junior staff

Contribute to business development in the local marketplace
