Property Support Engineer
The Engineer is responsible for securing, maintaining, and preparing vacant and occupied properties on behalf of clients. This field-based role involves extensive travel across the region, attending multiple sites each day to carry out property security and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include alarm installation (wireless alarms, no electrical work involved) and maintenance, utility isolation, property boarding, and general security works to ensure properties remain safe, secure, and compliant. Key Responsibilities Install, test, maintain, and remove temporary intruder alarms and security systems. Switch off utility services, including electrical power, water, and gas where required and authorised. Board up doors, windows, and other access points to secure vacant properties. Carry out on-site inspections and report on any issues identified. Fit and maintain temporary security measures, including shutters, barriers, and fencing. Conduct minor repairs and maintenance works to ensure properties remain secure and presentable. Travel extensively between sites, often covering large geographical areas and spending significant time driving. Plan and manage daily routes efficiently to meet client service requirements. Complete job reports, photographs, and documentation accurately and promptly. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
