Key Responsibilities

Assist the remortgage client teams with all legal aspects of property files to ensure targets are met, quality standards maintained, financial performance is maximised and risks, complaints and write offs are minimisedManage more complex Property cases including but not limited to unregistered, shared ownership staircasing, Islamic Finance conversion and checking Lease Extension documentation for registration. Where applicable, to include post completion or where an element of error or risk has been identifiedDeal with day to day queries and provide technical and legal guidance and coaching to team members and be a point of referral for the client teamsDeal with non-standard requisitionsDraft/approve undertakingsDeal with shared equity cases, full UK Finance Hand Book title checks, lease checking and identify title defectsWhere required, draft documents including statement of truth, undertakings and transfersReferral point for all complex queries for external clientsUse knowledge of Money Laundering principles and apply these to specific casesIdentify training requirements and assist in the training and development of the team members in conjunction with the Training Department including the preparation of training materialsHandle complaints and ensure adherence to company complaints policyDeal with Data Subject Access requests in line with current GDPR principlesProvide recommendations for continual improvement for the department’s clients, work processes and peopleSupport with Coaching and designing training materialsDeal with any ad hoc tasks as required

Skills And Experience

Legal qualification in ConveyancingExperience of full end to end sale and purchase transactionsConfident outgoing personality and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and clientsAbility to prioritise work and use initiativeDemonstrate excellent Property legal skillsAbility to coach individuals to develop their knowledge and skillsFlexibility and adaptability and a willingness to embrace technology and changeKnowledge and experience of case management systemsSale and purchase, repo sales or new build knowledge and experience (Desirable)A minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing complex Conveyancing files (Desirable)
