Projects Manager - Lift Industry

Location: Kent / Client Sites as Required
Salary: -50,000 - -65,000
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established company within the lift industry for an experienced Projects Manager to take responsibility for the successful delivery of installation and modernisation projects.

You will be responsible for managing both installation and modernisation projects, as well as overseeing subcontractor project work carried out on behalf of other lift companies.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage large-scale lift installation and modernisation projects from start to completion.
  • Oversee subcontractor project work and ensure projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day effectiveness and success of the Installation/Modernisation Department.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, staffing plans and procurement requirements.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure delivery remains on schedule, within budget and commercially profitable.
  • Identify project risks at an early stage and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project financials and identify opportunities to improve project margins.

You will need to be:

  • Experienced in lift installation and/or modernisation projects.
  • Confident managing engineers and subcontractors.
  • Strong in project planning, scheduling and budget management.
  • Comfortable dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable around health & safety, site compliance and project documentation.
  • Commercially aware, with an understanding of project margins and profitability.
  • Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Confident delivering toolbox talks, conducting site audits and leading progress meetings.
  • Comfortable working within structured procedures and ISO-aligned environments.
  • A strong communicator who can resolve issues and keep projects moving.
