Project Worker (Missing from Home Parent Support)

Location: Manchester Hours: Full-time Contract: Temporary, 3-months Pay: £14.34 per hour, with travel and work expenses covered (+ holiday pay) DBS: Enhanced DBS required We are delighted to be supporting The Children''s Society in their search for a Parenting Worker to join their Missing Team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to support parents and carers of children and young people who are at risk of, or have experienced, missing from home episodes, helping families navigate complex challenges and improve outcomes for vulnerable young people. This is a rewarding role for someone with experience working with families and a strong understanding of safeguarding, exploitation, and the challenges faced by young people at risk. You''ll work closely with parents and carers to build confidence, improve family relationships, and provide practical support, education and advocacy. Please note this role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check due to unsupervised contact with vulnerable children and young adults. You will also require a current, clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Key Responsibilities for this role include: Building positive relationships with parents and carers, providing tailored support to increase their confidence in supporting their child. Delivering educational sessions and resources around missing from home incidents, exploitation, online safety and risk awareness.
