About the Role
The Project Sales BDM South role, based in Reading, focuses on developing new business and managing key accounts within the commercial audio and Fire & Security sectors. This full-time position offers a salary of £45,000 to £50,000 with negotiable benefits and commission. The successful candidate will build relationships with consultants, integrators, and end-users, interpret tender documents, and collaborate with technical teams to specify tailored system solutions. Key responsibilities include growing an existing account portfolio, generating project opportunities, and monitoring market activity. Proven experience in business development, account management, and solution specification within related industries is required.
An established leader in commercial audio, voice evacuation, and integrated communication systems is looking for a driven Business Development Executive to support continued growth across the South of the UK.
This customer-facing role focuses on developing project opportunities, managing key accounts, and building strong relationships with consultants, integrators, distributors, and end-users within the Fire & Security and commercial audio sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of accounts while generating new business opportunities
• Develop project pipelines and support solution specification with consultants and system designers
• Interpret tender documents and collaborate with technical teams on tailored system solutions
• Monitor market activity, competitor trends, and customer requirements
• Represent the business at trade shows and industry events across the UK•
Ideal Candidate:
Experience within Fire & Security, life safety, or commercial audio markets ESSENTIAL
• Proven experience in business development and account management
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable working with technical specifications and tender documentation
• Commercially aware, organised, and self-motivated
