Project Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a prominent player in the construction industry, is currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performance team in Dublin. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment where you can be part of significant projects within the mission critical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day commercial and contract activities
- Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintenance of associated registers
- Negotiate and obtain best value with placement of subcontract orders
- Participate in the management of project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility studies
- Validate and approve sub-contractors'' interim applications and final submissions, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act
- Lead pre-appointment subcontractor meetings to ensure scope is clearly defined
- Prepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports
- Maximise cash flow through prompt submission of Monthly Valuations with full and accurate supporting documentation
- Negotiate, draft and submit Final Accounts including claims
- Maintain productive relationships with all design team professionals and client representatives
- Ensure the implementation of Team Commercial procedures
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics
- Understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industry (NEC, RIAI, FIDIC)
- Ability to critically evaluate and identify gaps in documentation and commercial opportunities
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and systems
- Strong commercial awareness
- Proficiency in numeracy and report writing
- Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
- Attention to detail and process orientation
