Project Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a prominent player in the construction industry, is currently seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performance team in Dublin. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment where you can be part of significant projects within the mission critical sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day commercial and contract activities
• Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintenance of associated registers
• Negotiate and obtain best value with placement of subcontract orders
• Participate in the management of project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility studies
• Validate and approve sub-contractors'' interim applications and final submissions, ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act
• Lead pre-appointment subcontractor meetings to ensure scope is clearly defined
• Prepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports
• Maximise cash flow through prompt submission of Monthly Valuations with full and accurate supporting documentation
• Negotiate, draft and submit Final Accounts including claims
• Maintain productive relationships with all design team professionals and client representatives
• Ensure the implementation of Team Commercial procedures

Job Requirements:

• Experience in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics
• Understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industry (NEC, RIAI, FIDIC)
• Ability to critically evaluate and identify gaps in documentation and commercial opportunities
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and systems
• Strong commercial awareness
• Proficiency in numeracy and report writing
• Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
• Attention to detail and process orientation
