Project Quantity Surveyor

My clients are looking to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor on a 12 month temporary contract basis to be based at their site in Wellingborough. My clients are a multiple disciplined construction business working on predominantly industrial and commercial projects.

Reporting directly to the Director, the Project Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the commercial management of this particular project and will be based on site.

Key Accountabilities:

- Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations
- Preparing£and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
- Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
- Managing£financial accounts and report to senior management on the project performance
- Liaising£and presenting to the client on the project performance
- Securing£payments from customers within the specified contract terms
- Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
- Pre-contract pricing and agreement project costs.
- Mentor subordinate staff

Skills, Experience andamp; Qualifications:

- Relevant HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying
- Experience of using the NEC forms of contract
- Experience of highway projects
- Drive and ambition to succeed
- Good interpersonal skills as well as good oral and written communication skills
- Numeracy and analytical ability
- Strong negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of MS Office
- Appropriate CSCS card -desirable
