Ready for a change, but not interested in joining just another contractor?We''re working with a highly regarded, employee-owned specialist contractor looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their Manchester team.This is a business delivering some seriously impressive projects across the UK, including major rail and transport infrastructure, bridges, stations, large-scale structural steelwork, reinforced concrete structures and complex engineering projects in live and highly constrained environments.The roleYou''ll take commercial responsibility for projects from handover through to final account, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients.Your responsibilities will include:Managing project budgets, costs and commercial performancePreparing valuations, variations, claims and financial reportsProcuring and commercially managing subcontractorsManaging contractual matters, negotiations and payment processesAttending site to assess progress and value worksMaintaining accurate commercial records and risk registersSupporting estimating and tendering activityProviding commercial input to project teams throughout deliverySupporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial teamWhat we''re looking forProject level or Senior level Quantity Surveying experienceMain contractor or specialist subcontractor backgroundStrong understanding of commercial and contractual processesExperience with valuations, variations, claims and cost reportingExposure to ..... full job details .....
