About the Role
We are seeking talented Planners to join our growing data centre and critical infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and managing project programmes for complex data centre projects from pre-construction and detailed design through to construction and completion.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically demanding, high-value projects within the rapidly expanding European data centre sector, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors, consultants and clients.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and update detailed project programmes for large-scale data centre projects.

Prepare baseline programmes covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.

Coordinate programme information with engineering, procurement, commercial, construction and commissioning teams.

Monitor progress against approved programmes and identify areas of delay, risk and potential impact.

Work closely with project managers, construction managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate progress information.

Analyse programme performance and provide regular progress updates and reporting to project stakeholders.

Develop and maintain short-term lookahead programmes and detailed construction schedules.

Identify critical path activities, key milestones, programme constraints and project interfaces.

Assess the impact of design changes, variations, delays and unforeseen events on the overall programme.

Support the development of recovery programmes and mitigation strategies where required.

Coordinate procurement and long-lead equipment activities within the overall project programme.

Track design deliverables, approvals, material procurement, construction activities and commissioning milestones.

Contribute to project progress meetings and provide clear programme updates and forecasts.

Prepare progress reports, programme narratives, dashboards and other planning documentation.

Support delay analysis, extension-of-time assessments and programme impact assessments where required.

Maintain high standards of programme accuracy, reporting, project controls and planning best practice.
Requirements
-
Ideally a degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline - dependant on experience.

3+ years professional experience in planning/project controls within construction, infrastructure or engineering projects.

Experience working on large-scale construction projects, ideally data centres, industrial, commercial or critical infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, methodologies and project delivery.

Experience developing and managing detailed construction programmes.

Strong knowledge of critical path analysis, programme logic, progress measurement and forecasting.

Experience with planning software such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.

Ability to analyse programme performance and identify potential delays and project risks.

Strong understanding of design, procurement, construction and commissioning interfaces.

Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to produce clear and accurate programme reports for project stakeholders.

Good understanding of construction methods and practical buildability considerations.

Ability to manage priorities and deliver work to demanding project programmes.
