We''re looking for a Project Planner to join an established automotive and engineering business, supporting the planning and delivery of new projects as well as continuous improvement across existing operations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with data, processes and operational teams to identify improvements, develop practical solutions and help projects move from planning through to successful implementation.

As Project Planner, you''ll take responsibility for the logistical planning of new projects, while also identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and operations.

You''ll work closely with customers and internal Operations teams, analysing processes, identifying inefficiencies and developing robust solutions that improve performance and support cost savings.

• Plan and coordinate the logistical requirements of new projects

• Identify weaknesses and improvement opportunities across shopfloor processes, layouts, areas and equipment

• Develop practical solutions for customers and Operations

• Create and develop shopfloor layouts

• Analyse process steps and identify waste and opportunities for improvement

• Use data and process analysis to support planning and decision-making

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities

• Work closely with customers and internal operational teams

• Support internally led projects across relevant departments

• Take projects through from initial planning to completion

• Support project go-live, including flexibility to work across different shift patterns where required

We''re looking for a proactive and analytical Project Planner who can work independently while also building strong relationships with customers and operational teams.

You''ll ideally have:

• Experience in project planning, process planning, logistics, engineering, manufacturing or a similar environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent numerical and analytical ability, with experience working with data

• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

• A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to get involved

• Excellent attention to detail and time management

• The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Experience leading projects from start to finish

• A full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Experience with MTM (Methods Time Measurement) calculations

• CAD experience
