The CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) Update project is an interim solution to ensure the control room has a fully supported and operational CAD in place until go live of the Command and Control Mobilising Solution. The CAD plays a vital role in managing and coordinating responses to incidents. It is used for incident management, resource management and incident logging. When a call is received, all relevant details are recorded; nature of the emergency, location. Then the most appropriate resource is dispatched to the incident.
