Project Officer (Maternity Cover)

OverviewWe have an exciting opportunity to join our Property and Investment Team in the West to play a key role in helping us build upon the excellent progress we are making in delivering Wales''s largest programme of affordable homes. We are an experienced team with a track record for delivery and creating meaningful partnerships, sharing a passion and drive to make a real difference to the housing crisis in Wales. We are recruiting a Project Officer on a full-time basis (maternity cover) until 31 December 2026.
The role contributes to the achievement of the Group''s Growth Strategy by ensuring the effective delivery of small-scale new housing development and refurbishment schemes, under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager and Head of Development.
Responsibilities
Act as a vital link between strategy and project delivery, coordinating and managing the end-to-end process from feasibility and procurement to handover and post-completion review.
Support Project Managers with larger or more complex projects and align projects with stakeholder expectations, Welsh Government funding requirements, and community impact objectives.
Qualifications
Post-qualification experience in a development and commercial environment is preferred.
Proven project management experience, including managing competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
A strong commitment to partnership working and delivering high-quality, customer-centred homes.
Ability to undertake financial appraisals using industry-recognised tools and analyse complex information effectively.
Proficiency with Project Management software and Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and report writing.
What we offer
Salary: £40,217 for a 37-hour position (maternity cover until 31 December 2026)
Location: West Wales, covering from Neath Port Talbot to Pembrokeshire, with site visits required
Office presence once a week (typically Wednesdays), with flexibility
Must be a driver with access to a vehicle
26 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 30 days with service
Mileage paid at 45p per mile
