Our client, a prominent force in the Defence and Security sector, is actively searching for a diligent and skilled Project Officer to join their team on a contract basis. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with expertise in SAP, Project Controls, and Project coordination to contribute to impactful programmes and projects.Responsibilities
Supporting the Programme/Project Manager in executing the project planEnsuring effective co-ordination of project tasks and their interdependencies within the overall Programme/ProjectIdentifying and mitigating risks and issues with the support of the Programme Management OfficeCommunicating effectively with the wider programme/project teamEnsuring all activities comply with organisational policies and processesAssisting in delivering programme/project objectivesManaging authorisations, profitability, and liquidated damages within the level of accountabilityProviding administrative support and contributing to the creation of project documentationAdministering the risk register and advising on risk reduction processesInterfacing between the project and functional business areas to achieve deliverablesManaging customer and vendor engagements within the level of accountabilityRequirements
Experience with SAP and Project ControlsStrong understanding of project management principles and methodologiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to co-ordinate multiple tasks and manage dependencies effectivelyUnderstanding of risk management and mitigation strategiesAdministrative skills and experience contributing to project documentationExperience in a Defence and Security environment is advantageousDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilitiesSeniority level
