Overview
Project Officer – Lewisham Council, Lewisham, South East London. Permanent, Full-time, £40,404-£41,637 per year.Location: Wearside Service Centre with regular travel to sites across the borough.Role
You will support the roll-out of simpler recycling across the borough, helping residents recycle more and waste less. The role involves surveying properties, engaging with landlords and households, and promoting food and packaging recycling. You will analyse data to track progress and recommend improvements. This hands-on role combines project delivery with on-the-ground community engagement.Responsibilities
Survey properties and locations for food waste containers; support events and engagement work.Engage with residents, landlords, and internal teams to promote recycling initiatives.Analyse data to track progress and shape service improvements.Coordinate day-to-day activities for recycling advisors, including scheduling tasks and deliverables.Support on-site activities and flexible work across the borough, including occasional weekends.What we’re looking for

Salary
