Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater Infrastructure
Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to take the lead on technically challenging water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a growing engineering business?
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation delivering critical infrastructure projects across the UK. Working with some of the largest utility providers and industrial clients, you will play a key role in delivering projects that directly support the development of sustainable and resilient water infrastructure.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative engineering solutions across the full project lifecycle, from initial design through to construction, commissioning and handover. Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of projects, they are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team and take ownership of major multidisciplinary schemes.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, leading teams, managing complex projects and having a genuine influence on successful project delivery.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects, managing projects from early design stages through to completion.
You will lead multidisciplinary project teams across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) disciplines, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
This is a key leadership role where you will work closely with clients, contractors, designers and internal teams, providing strategic direction while remaining hands-on throughout the delivery process.
You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging engineering projects, develop your expertise and play a major part in supporting the continued growth of the organisation.
What You''ll Be Doing
·Taking ownership of the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
·Leading multidisciplinary teams across civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineering disciplines.
·Managing projects through design, construction, commissioning and handover phases.
·Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
·Driving project performance across programme, commercial, quality, health and safety and environmental objectives.
·Providing strong leadership to project teams, creating a positive and collaborative working environment.
·Managing project risks, opportunities and delivery challenges.
·Ensuring best practice project management processes are followed throughout delivery.
·Supporting commercial performance through effective cost control, procurement and subcontract management.
·Mentoring and developing project teams, helping to build future talent within the organisation.
·Supporting future growth opportunities through involvement in tenders and business development activities.
·Driving continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and innovative ways of working.
What We''re Looking For
·A Senior Project Manager with significant experience delivering complex engineering projects.
·Ideally, experience within the water, wastewater or utilities sector.
·Strong experience managing multidisciplinary projects involving civil and MEICA works.
·Proven experience managing projects from design through to construction and commissioning.
·Strong commercial understanding with experience managing budgets, costs and subcontractors.
·Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
·A proactive approach with strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to make decisions.
·Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
·Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
·Full UK driving licence.
