The Utilities Project Manager role is part of the Civils Programme for Sizewell C and involves managing full life cycle delivery of a Utilities contract or work package, aligned to the programme schedule and delivery budget, with safety, quality, time and cost parameters at the forefront.Responsibilities
Define the work scope within the scope of work, necessary measures under the New Roads and Street Works Act or other enabling agreements, and interfaces with other programme elements.Develop and implement Utilities solutions in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP), including management, organisation and execution of the programme of work.Interface with the client’s requirements, develop strategies to deliver best value, coordinate with utility companies to agree preferred solutions, and manage to a successful conclusion.Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders and execute project or PEP strategies within the contract or package of work.Drive the delivery of utilities activities to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery that meets business, technical and sustainability requirements.Anticipate, manage and resolve utilities issues; identify risks, update the programme budget, and escalate issues to the Utilities Senior Manager as needed.Review Utility Service Provider - Contractor supplied rolling schedules and ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) is met.Capture lessons learned and apply knowledge as part of business as usual; interface with other programmes to share progress and adopt best practices.Qualifications
Project management success delivering Utilities (Power, Natural Gas, Portable Water, Foul Water, Telecommunications) solutions across new connections, disconnections, diversions and protections in a technically complex environment.Working knowledge of service avoidance and safe digging practices (HSG47).Understanding of BWIC and CDM Regulations; ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams including designers, contractors, internal/external stakeholders, local authorities and community representatives.Strong decision-making in relation to project criticality and outcomes; experience building lasting client relationships and leading teams.Higher degree or project management qualification.Our Culture
