The Opportunity
 
We are seeking an experienced MEICA Project Manager to join a wastewater infrastructure project in Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused professional with a strong background in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) within the water or wastewater sector.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the delivery of MEICA works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end delivery of MEICA works on a wastewater treatment project.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site teams and engineering stakeholders.
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, programme requirements and relevant industry standards.
• Monitor project progress, costs, resources and schedules, implementing corrective actions where required.
• Manage design coordination, technical submissions, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
• Identify and manage project risks, technical issues and programme constraints.
• Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates to clients, senior management and project stakeholders.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, handover documentation and final project close-out.
• Maintain effective communication between site teams, design engineers, commercial teams and the client.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a MEICA Project Manager or in a similar project delivery role.
• Previous experience delivering projects within the water or wastewater industry.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations, instrumentation and control systems.
• Experience managing subcontractors, project programmes, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within a construction or infrastructure environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver against challenging project deadlines.
