Our client is a fast growing, Surrey based engineering firm who are winning a number of contracts across Herts and Surrey as well as UK wide.
They are working with us to source an experienced Project Manager with a background in civil engineering to oversee the management of a number of structures and drainage contracts.
The Job
The Civil Engineering Contract/Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts for civil engineering projects. This role ensures that all contractual obligations are met by all parties, while managing risks, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with legal, technical, and safety standards.
Ideal Candidates Will have/be
- Over 5 years'' experience in a civils project/contract management role
Good people managers with ability to lead and motivate
Experienced at managing and delivering construction projects on time and on budget.
Civil engineering background ideally with hands experience in structures (bridges, retaining walls, culverts, tunnels) and drainage systems (highways, flood alleviation, sewerage, SuDS).
Be familiar with UK environmental and regulatory requirements Environmental and regulatory compliance - e.g., UK standards (Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Sewers for Adoption, Eurocodes, CIRIA SuDS etc)
Experience managing risk
Driving licence and ability to travel between sites
Great communication skills and the ability to manage client and internal relationships effectively
Tech savvy with ability to produce management reports
Commercially aware and able to take P&L responsibility.
