Project Manager (Rail)

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Manager to support a major rail programme in York. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading consultancy delivering high-profile railway projects, playing a key role in ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and smooth project delivery.This is a 12 month contract role which is Inside Ir35.Requirements -EssentialDegree or equivalent experienceAPM membership (or working towards)PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalentStrong understanding of the operational railway and infrastructureProven rail project delivery experienceExcellent stakeholder and communication skillsConfident decision-maker able to challenge constructivelyKnowledge of commercial requirements, programme controls, CDM, CSM-RA, HSandE legislationExperience with project budgets and GRIPDesirableKnowledge of investment, commercial and procurement processesExperience in Asset ProtectionUnderstanding of maintenance techniques, possessions, and isolationsKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver solutions for complex, externally funded, multi-disciplinary projectsManage project risks and ensure integration with the operational railwayEngage stakeholders to meet governance, assurance, and regulatory requirementsClarify client remits and operational needs to support early decision-makingSupport CDM compliance and resource allocationMonitor project progress, risks, and performance; support contingency planningDrive efficiencies and reduce asset/maintenance ..... full job details .....
