The Senior Project Manager serves as the principal leader for the bridge rebuilding project, representing the client''s interests at every stage. This position is responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, beginning with initial planning and design and continuing through to final completion. The Senior Project Manager ensures that the bridge meets all required standards for safety, quality, and environmental responsibility. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, engineers, and local authorities is essential, with clear communication and effective stakeholder engagement being key priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee procurement and contract management for the project.
- Monitor progress against established project milestones, ensuring timely delivery.
- Identify and address challenges proactively to maintain project momentum.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive experience managing major infrastructure projects, particularly those involving complex civil engineering works.
- Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
- A degree in civil engineering or project management, supported by relevant professional certification.
- Knowledge of UK highways standards and bridge construction practices is highly valued.
