Project Manager (Onsite) - Commercial Construction

Location: Hull

Our client, a leading main contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a commercial construction project in Hull. This is a site-based role on a 12-month contract, responsible for managing the project from construction through to completion, ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Monitor project progress against the construction programme and manage project risks.
• Review and update project schedules with the Senior Project Manager.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate site operations.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections, snagging, and defect resolution.
• Liaise with the client, consultants, and design teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Ensure project milestones and programme objectives are achieved.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager with a main contractor on commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, Health & Safety legislation, and CDM Regulations.
• Experience managing project programmes, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Strong quality management, inspection, and snagging experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) and SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification are desirable.
