Project Manager - Highways

Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager/Construction Manager to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering a portfolio of highways improvement schemes in the East Sussex area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven construction professional with a strong background in planning, design coordination, construction delivery, and project handover within the highways sector. Key Responsibilities Manage projects throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and final handover. Review and coordinate design information, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with programme requirements. Monitor project progress, performance, and quality standards throughout delivery. Lead construction activities on site whilst maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Manage subcontractors and supply chain partners, ensuring performance, programme, and commercial objectives are achieved. Coordinate and manage subcontractor design packages from conception through to construction and completion. Liaise with clients, designers, stakeholders, and project teams to resolve technical and delivery challenges. Drive programme performance and ensure key project milestones are achieved.
