About the Role

The Project Manager - Fire Alarm Systems position, based in London, is with an independent installation and service provider. This full-time role commands a salary of £60,000 to £65,000, supplemented by a car or allowance and a benefits package. The successful candidate will oversee high-value fire detection and public address installations across London and the Home Counties. Responsibilities include managing projects from inception to client sign-off, coordinating engineers and subcontractors, and controlling budgets and schedules. The role requires strict adherence to BS 5839 standards, with duties covering site visits, client meetings, and progress reporting. Proven experience in delivering large-scale alarm projects is essential.

This independent fire alarm systems installation and service provider are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Project Manager to oversee and successfully complete fire detection and public address installation projects across London and the Home Counties. The successful candidate will manage high value installations from inception through installation, commissioning, and client sign-off, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage large fire alarm installation projects
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Oversee project budgets, scheduling, and variations
• Ensure compliance with BS 5839 and safety regulations
• Conduct site visits, client meetings, and progress reviews
• Produce and manage project documentation, RAMS, and handover packs
Requirements
• Proven experience of successful fire alarm of project managing fire alarm system installations
• Strong technical knowledge of a variety of fire detection systems
• Good understanding of BS 5839 and UK fire safety regulations
• Strong commercial awareness and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
