Project Manager

About this Role:

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to run a -25m new build student accommodation development in Bournemouth City Centre. This scheme will provide 170 student bedrooms in an 8 storey RC framed building with basement parking and is due to commence on site early in the new year.

It is a negotiated scheme for a repeat client. As Project Manager you will join for the late preconstruction phase of the works to provide operational input to design development, methodology, logistics and programme, procurement and client engagement.

Reporting to a visiting Project Director you will be responsible for managing the project through late preconstruction, enabling works and throughout the construction phase with your project team.

You will lead your team holding responsibility for client liaison, design development, construction methodology and programming of works, input to procurement with the commercial team and the smooth and timely progress of construction on site. Taking lead control of the project throughout, with health & safety, quality control, positive client interface and delivery on time and budget all of key importance.

About the Company:

The client is a busy national main contractor with a turnover in excess of -350m and proven track record in delivery of schemes in the student accommodation, build to rent, multi storey residential, hotel and commercial sectors.

Projects range in size from -25m to -100m.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

You will be an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a proven track record within a main contracting organisation, able to deliver design & build schemes up to -25m+ in value.

Key attributes will include excellent client facing skills, design team and site team leadership ability, technical, contractual and commercial knowledge, focus and drive.
