Project Manager (EGL1 Scotland)

Overview
Prysmian is a global cabling solutions provider leading the energy transition and digital transformation. Prysmian UK has been awarded the land-cable installation for the Eastern Green Link 1 (EGL1) project. EGL1 is a large-scale two-gigawatt HVDC project running from the Torness area in East Lothian, Scotland to Hawthorn Pit in County Durham, England. The project is planned to run from 2024 to 2029. We are excited to offer a dynamic Project Manager role to join our team for EGL1, our largest project to date.Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the execution to completion of the project, directly managing the North (Scotland) elements of the project.Be aware of site characteristics including topography, landscape, environmental and ecological constraints, current infrastructure, sustainability, health and safety.Collaborate with the design team to produce the best engineering solution for joint bay locations, cable section lengths and pulling locations, considering logistics and transport requirements.Manage interaction and liaison related to consents, landowners, Local Planning Authorities and third-party stakeholders to progress planning and consents.Develop and manage Scope of Works, Division of Responsibilities, Employer and Client Requirements, and Technical Specifications for Onshore Cable works with the wider team.Interface with the client’s offshore cable team to manage the landfall interface.Procure and manage required subcontractors (e.g., HHD/Civils) and other critical elements as needed.Coordinate with consultants and internal colleagues to develop pre-condition surveys.Coordinate with parties responsible for coinciding works (e.g., substations or converter stations) to ensure cable installation interface is understood and planned.Issue Early Warning Notices (EWN) if issues could affect prices, delay key dates, or impair performance.Organise and chair EGL1 project update meetings with relevant stakeholders.You Are The Right Fit If You Have/Are
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within energy/renewables or construction.Sound understanding of construction or civil engineering matters.Strong coordination and communication with all stakeholders, including senior management.Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients.Educated to HND or degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (not essential).Excellent computer literacy.Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.Driving licence is essential.What We Offer You
