Our client is a well-established and respected manufacturer within the fire safety related commercial interiors market seeking a Project Manager to join their growing team.
This is an office based role, however you will be expected to travel to sites on occasions.
The vacancy will give someone the opportunity for career development working alongside a Senior Estimator. You will have the ability to carry multiple projects from the point of order through to completion. Projects will be of small to large scale and you must have the ability to manage your time, cope under pressure and to provide excellent customer care.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Evaluate project information received from the sales team to check technical compatibility from a manufacturing and accreditation perspective.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, architects, and other project managers to agree and finalise details and to be the central point of contact during the project.
• Compile detailed manufacturing schedules/drawings for client approval.
• Liaise with clients and architects typically by email/phone or occasionally attend a meeting on site to discuss the project details and answer questions as necessary.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal production team for the procurement of raw materials on a job specific basis.
• Complete job sheets to produce goods and update project costs if the scope of works changes during the approval process.
• Liaise with production/contracts departments to hand over client/project specific deadlines and expectations.
To be considered for this role you will ideally come from the construction / building products manufacturing or fire safety background and have the ability to manage and track changes to project scopes and costs, possess strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and have careful attention to detail.

- Excellent written/verbal/client-facing communication skills.
- Competence to handle and be responsible for large financial figures.
- Ability to work and be accountable individually and in a team.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office programs – particularly Excel.
- Ability to act in the best interest of the company even when under deadline or client pressure.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or construction processes would be a distinct advantage.
- A basic understanding of 2D CAD software would also be advantageous.
On offer is a salary of £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience plus 31 days annual leave including bank holidays, company bonus scheme, wellbeing programme and free onsite parking.
