Job Description
Our client are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager (Civils or Mechanical Bias) to join the team, working closely with major clients including Southern Water, Thames Water, and other Tier 1 construction partners. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle within the water sector, managing a variety of projects that differ in scale and complexity. You will lead a dedicated team of technical professionals focused on delivering high-quality solutions that meet the clients’ expectations.
About the Role:
As a Project Manager, having prior knowledge of the wastewater industry and experience within the construction sector is essential. Our client are looking for someone with a practical, adaptable mindset who embraces innovation and is eager to help bring forward-thinking technologies to life.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in project management within the water sector. Candidates who are stepping up from a Project Engineer position can be considered.
- An overall MEICA understanding would be advantageous, however the majority of work will be mechanical & civils biased
- A candidate with previous experience managing multiple schemes simultaneously would be of interest, often high volume but smaller project values.
- Understanding of wastewater systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised with excellent time management
- Proficient in using IT systems and tools
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients
- Conducting site surveys
- Managing tender processes
- Contributing to design stages
- Handling procurement tasks
- Overseeing planning and project execution
- Preparing final project documentation and handovers
- Site visits and travel will be a requirement of this role.
- Company vehicle will be provided for all site travel
