Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A well-established construction consultancy in London is looking to appoint an ambitious Project Manager to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to work across a varied portfolio of retail, leisure and commercial projects while continuing to develop within a supportive consultancy environment. The successful Project Manager will join a respected business with a strong client base and a steady pipeline of work across London.

The Project Manager will take an active role in delivering projects from initial briefing and design through procurement, construction and completion. They are looking for a Project Manager who is confident working with clients, consultants and contractors, and who can take ownership of day-to-day project delivery. This would suit a Project Manager with experience across retail, leisure or commercial schemes who is ready to broaden their responsibility and progress towards Senior Project Manager level.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and managing the successful delivery of construction projects across the retail, leisure and commercial sectors.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include managing project programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, monitoring design development, supporting procurement, managing project risks, chairing meetings and producing clear client reports.

You will work closely with clients, contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle, helping to ensure schemes are delivered to programme, budget and quality expectations.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous Project Management experience within a UK construction consultancy
• Experience working on retail, leisure, commercial or similar property projects
• A good understanding of the full construction project lifecycle
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors and wider project teams
• Good knowledge of programme management, procurement and risk
• A relevant construction, property or Project Management degree
• Ideally working towards MAPM, MRICS, MCIOB or another recognised professional qualification
• A proactive approach and clear ambition to progress within consultancy Project Management
