Project Manager Construction Consultancy
A well-established construction and property consultancy is looking for a Project Manager to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with experience across retail, leisure, commercial, or similar property sectors to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects.
The Project Manager will manage projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders. This Project Manager role would suit a confident Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of commissions and working within fast-paced, client-focused sectors. The successful Project Manager will have strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining excellent client relationships.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager''s role
The Project Manager will lead projects across the retail, leisure, and commercial sectors through both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
The Project Manager will be responsible for programme management, procurement, consultant coordination, contract administration, risk management, change control, and project reporting. They will chair meetings, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, monitor contractor performance, and provide clear advice to clients throughout the project lifecycle.
The Project Manager will also manage project documentation, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and ensure commissions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will have:
- Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
- Experience delivering retail, leisure, commercial, or similar property projects
- Experience managing projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
- A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
- MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
- Good knowledge of JCT contracts and construction procurement
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Excellent organisation, communication, and reporting skills
- A proactive and commercially aware approach
