Project Manager - Civil Engineering / Infrastructure
Remuneration: £80,000 - £85,000 per annum plus package (negotiable subject to experience)
Location: Manchester
Type: Permanent (Full-Time) - Flexible working options available
Start Date: September/October 2025
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead multiple civil engineering and infrastructure schemes from design through to completion. This role demands a proven leader with a strong track record in delivering complex projects in Civil, Water, Rail, Process, or MEICA environments. You will manage budgets, teams, client relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver multiple projects to specification, programme, and budget, maintaining maximum commercial performance.
- Lead financial forecasting, cost control, and monthly performance reporting.
- Oversee all project phases, including design, site delivery, and handover documentation.
- Chair site meetings, maintain accurate project records, and ensure scope of work is clearly defined.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and design consultants.
- Develop and manage construction programmes using Primavera P6 (or equivalent).
- Ensure compliance with HS&E legislation, risk assessments, method statements, and environmental standards.
- Drive quality control through ITPs, QA documentation, and as built/O&M submissions.
- Prepare estimates for additional works and assist with tender submissions.
What we require from you:
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent. (mandatory)
- Experience in shaft sinking works and direct labour organisation management. (mandatory)
- Extensive project management experience in Water or MEICA sectors. (mandatory)
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts, CDM regulations, design and risk management, and cost reporting.
- Primavera P6 proficiency.
- CSCS Manager''s card, SMSTS, and NEBOSH (mandatory)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
