The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading civil engineering and MEICA contractor delivering major infrastructure projects within the UK water sector.
Based on the Bewl Water Treatment Works project, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of construction and engineering projects from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. Working closely with clients, designers, subcontractors and commercial teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Project Manager with experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects under NEC contracts who is looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of AMP works.

The Role
Reporting into the Contracts Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of one or more projects, taking ownership of programme, commercial performance, quality and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
·Managing construction projects from contract award through to completion and handover.
·Coordinating multidisciplinary teams including design, commercial, planning and site delivery.
·Working closely with Pre-Construction teams to ensure a smooth transition from tender through to delivery.
·Developing and maintaining detailed construction programmes alongside P6 Planners.
·Managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reporting.
·Leading change control processes alongside the commercial team.
·Reviewing technical documentation to ensure constructability, compliance and value engineering opportunities.
·Identifying, assessing and mitigating project risks while maximising opportunities.
·Managing subcontractor procurement, performance and relationships.
·Supporting the estimating team with buildability reviews and subcontractor assessments.
·Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.
·Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety, environmental and quality standards.
·Producing regular project progress reports and attending client meetings.
·Leading project teams to deliver works safely, efficiently and to programme.

About the Project
This role will be based on the Bewl Water Treatment Works project, delivering key infrastructure improvements as part of the UK''s investment into the water industry. The project involves the delivery of complex civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (MEICA) works to enhance the performance and resilience of the treatment facility.

What We''re Looking For
We''re looking for an experienced and proactive Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of projects and building strong working relationships.
You will ideally have:
·Strong knowledge of construction project management principles and delivery methodologies.
·Experience managing water or wastewater treatment projects.
·Excellent understanding of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
·Experience delivering Design & Build projects.
·Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and change management.
·Experience developing and managing project programmes using P6 or similar planning software.
·Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
·Strong leadership, organisation and decision-making abilities.
·Experience managing subcontractors and supply chains.
·A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
·The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
·Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
·Previous experience as a Project Manager delivering major construction or infrastructure projects.
·Water industry experience, ideally within AMP frameworks.
·Experience working for a principal contractor or Tier 1 contractor.
·Knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
·SMSTS.
·CSCS Card.
