Project Manager CAPEX

Fortress Recruit is supporting a leading engineering and research organisation in their search for a Project Manager to join their specialist CAPEX team based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring or developing Project Manager to take ownership of technical investment, infrastructure and business improvement projects within a unique engineering environment. Key responsibilities will include: Managing projects from initial requirements gathering and business case development through to delivery and closure. Developing project plans, schedules, budgets and key milestones to support successful delivery. Coordinating with technical teams, procurement, finance and external suppliers to ensure projects progress effectively. Monitoring project costs, risks, assumptions and dependencies, implementing mitigation plans where required. Managing changes to project scope, timescales and budgets. Preparing project updates and presenting progress, risks and solutions to stakeholders and senior management. Supporting procurement activities and supplier negotiations to achieve value for money. Working collaboratively with other project managers and technical specialists to improve project delivery processes. To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience supporting or managing full life-cycle projects within an engineering, manufacturing, construction, facilities or other technical environment.
